On Sunday September 26th one of the nicest couples I have had the privilege of working with – tied the knot. The venue they chose was the magnificent Mount Nelson hotel. “Set in a lush garden estate at the heart of Cape Town, the Mount Nelson Hotel is an iconic property that encapsulates the true spirit of Orient-Express.” It rained and it poured and then let up just as the wedding began and we enjoyed some really fine weather thereafter. On Saturday July 17th I drove out to a wedding in Zorgvliet, Western Cape. Zorgvliet Wine Estate is a beautiful venue in truly beautiful surroundings. “With exquisite views of the winelands that complement the historic Cape Dutch architecture of the estate” it was a great setting for the wedding of Janet and Gustaaf. The wedding itself was short and sweet. Two hours later I was on my way back to Cape Town with a memory card full of images.
